Q: My dogs don't know how to walk on a treadmill, will you train them?

A: Yes. Our training is reward based and we use treats as a training aid. The first session usually takes a little longer than the others, especially if that is your dog's first exposure to the treadmill. We are patient and never force your dogs into fearful situations. Instead, we work consistently and lovingly until they are comfortable. If for some reason the treadmill proves to be unsuccessful for your dog, we can always switch to the traditional dog walking service. There are no additional costs for this training.

Q: What if my dogs are afraid to use the treadmill?

A: We train your dog to walk on the treadmill.

Q: Is the treadmill safe for my dogs to use?

A: Yes. We train and supervise every dog for the entire length of the exercise session. Also, the equipment is designed with an auto-shutoff mechanism using a safety collar clip. Furthermore, treadmills are used for rehabilitation purposes when dogs have been injured and/or undergone surgery.

The famous dog rehabilitation expert Cesar Milan, host of the National Geographic show 'Dog Whisperer', exercises dogs on treadmills for his clients. The treadmill is perhaps the best, most efficient way to exercise your dog. We recommend you continue your regular walks with your dog in addition to our exercise services. The walk is a great bonding experience and an opportunity for your dog to smell his surroundings. But it is usually ineffective for draining a dogs energy and preventing unwanted behavior while you are away during the day.

Q: Where will you exercise my dogs?

A: We use a custom designed trailer that is air conditioned and outfitted with 2 treadmills. For customers who elect to use our traditional dog walking service, dogs will be walked around your neighborhood.

Q: For how long and how often do my dogs need to use the treadmill?

A: While we recommend daily exercise for all dogs, we offer service Monday through Friday. During our initial consultation we can reach an agreement concerning frequency and intensity that is right for your particular dog.

Q: What is the best time to exercise my dogs?

The best time of the day to exercise your dog is early in the morning. When dogs first awake after a night of rest they are usually full of energy and ready for a day of activity. In addition, if you feed them in the morning you are adding fuel to the body which will also need to be spent. By exercising them early in the morning they spend that energy and are more inclined to be calm and better behaved the rest of the day. Evenings also tend to be hotter of rainy here in central Florida so this makes mornings a better choice because the exercise will be more consistent with less likelihood of over heating.

Q: Is there an age limit to use the treadmill?

A: No. All dogs benefit from a regular exercise routine.

Puppies can start a regular exercise routine once they have completed all their puppy shots and are fully protected. However, the exercise should be low impact and for a short duration of time each session. Puppies are still growing and should never be run for long periods of time as this can cause permanent damage to their bones and joints.

Senior dogs can suffer from stiffness so exercise will greatly benefit them. However, the type of exercise should be low impact so as to cause additional problems or pain. Walks and short sprints are ideal. Also, grass, sand and a treadmill will better absorb shock that running on tough terrain like paved roads.
We view each canine as an individual and encourage you to consult with your veterinarian before beginning any program to make sure your senior dog is healthy enough for this activity. We also work with you to address any special needs/considerations they one may have.

Q: Do you exercise more than one dog at the same time?

A: Yes. We exercise a maximum of two dogs at one time on our treadmills and up to five dogs at a time using our traditional dog walking service.

Q: What happens on an exercise visit?

A: We allow your dogs a few minutes before and after exercising to go 'potty'. This is done in your yard. Then we take your dogs inside our exercise mobile and put them on the treadmill, walking and running them on a custom tailored program just for their particular needs. This is a program where the intensity is varied over the duration of the session.

Once the workout is over. We take them back inside and give them a little water. Medication and food can be administered upon request at this time. We make sure they have access to any toys/treats you have left for them.

Q: What happens on a pet sitting visit?

A: When we arrive we take your dogs outside and allow them to go 'potty'. They will stay on your property unless a treadmill or traditional walking session is combined with the visit. After that we play with them and/or allow them to play with each other in your yard or house if no secure outside area exists.

Water and food will be give as directed. Also, medication will be administered as directed.

We bring inside any packages left at front door, any newspapers, flyers left in front of the house and your mail if mail service has not been halted. Then we water plants, alternate opening/closing of blinds/curtains and turn lights on/off.

Finally we cleanup and pet waste.

Please note that we will be happy to provide frequent status calls/emails to you at previously determined intervals. You can always call or email us at your convience during business hours to checkin. Your peace of mind is important to us.

Q: What happens on a playdate excursion?

A: We pickup all participants (or you may drop them off) and take them to the agreed location (my back yard, a dog park, a dog beach etc.). We supervise them as they interact with each other and the environment. Special activities may be planned depending on the excursion. Water and treats may be administered. Once the session is over we take them home (or you may pick them up).

Q: Will you administer medication to my dogs?

A: Yes. We do this upon request and follow the instructions you provide.

Q: Will you feed my dogs?

A: Yes. We do this upon request and follow the instructions you provide.

Q: My dogs lay around all day or aren't very active, do I still have to exercise them?

A: Yes. All dogs benefit from a regular exercise routine. We cater to every breed, age and activity level. All canines receive a customized program that fits them perfectly.

Q: My dogs play in their backyard, isn't that enough exercise?

A: No. When dogs are left to their own devises in the backyard they do not get the cardiovascular exercise they need. They will not reap the benefits nor will it do much to drain excess energy or avoid behavior problems.

Q: What happens if there is some kind of emergency with my dogs while in your care?

A: Our first and primary concern is for the well being of your dogs. If some kind of emergency happens we will act swiftly to help and secure your dogs. Then we would contact you and make you aware of the situation. During our initial consultation, we obtain all of your contact information just in case we should ever need it. We also collect information for your veteranarian so that we can work directly with him/her.

Q: If my dogs are aggressive can I still use your service?

A: No. However, we usually meet with you and do an assessment before making that determination. If our safety or that of your dogs is in question, we will not be able to serve you. Once the dog receives training and/or treatment we can do another assessment and go from there. You are never charged for our consultation or assessment.

Q: Why do I need to speak with my veterinarian before exercising my dogs?

A: We love dogs and always want to make sure they are healthy and safe. Because we have their best interest at heart, we advise you speak with your veterinarian to make sure your dogs are healthy enough for this activity.

Q: What types of payment do you accept?

A: We accept cash, check or credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express). Payments are provided before service is rendered. Payments can be made in person, over the phone or directly on this website.
